Risk Management

As has become increasingly recognized, Risk Management must be in place against potential business interruptions due to natural disasters and accidents. In Japan, the government’s Cabinet office published the guideline Operational Continuity Management, followed by other guidelines, on business continuity management, as announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency. Given these developments, business entities should also take appropriate measures.

We have been developing business continuity management since the beginning of 2008 to minimize human and material damage due to disasters, incidents, accidents, etc. Thus seeking to maintain business continuity, we have worked to objectively ensure management effectiveness. On December 25, 2008, we were the first in the Japanese transport industry to be awarded BS25999-2:2007 certification. BS25999-2:2007 is a United Kingdom business continuity management standard in international marine transport services provided by the company’s own vessels. We have taken this opportunity to advance business continuity while improving corporate value and gaining the confidence of stakeholders by providing the following high-quality services certification:

BS 25999-2 BUREAU VERITAS Certification
  • Registrar:Bureau Veritas Japan Co., Ltd.
  • Certification number:795273
  • Lines of business:International marine transportation service by the company Managed vessels.
