The Inui Steamship Safety Management Manual was created based on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) management code. The manual was extensively revised in August 2005 to create the 2005 version, which contains the latest changes in global vessel management and marine environmental protection. We review and update the manual daily to ensure that it remains continuously in line with societal requirements.
Training marine personnel in comprehensive safety management, ensuring safe, trustworthy fleets, and providing efficient vessel services are indispensable. Based on this concept, we founded the Inui Maritime Seminar, a facility in Manila, the Philippines, in October 2005, for training our marine personnel. The majority of marine personnel in our fleets currently hold Philippine nationality, and the practical training at the facility helps to prevent marine accidents casualties and is fully employed in the development of our business associates and ourselves. This facility, we believe, helps improve marine personnel living conditions. In September 2009, we started phase 3 of our training, enhanced in parallel with our efforts to raise marine personnel awareness of safety.
